Today has just been strange!

Situation #1

First strangeness was related to Young Grasshopper. He wanted me to look up a book he needed for a cert and was talking about how he was at lunch with an intern as I did said looking.

Was the intern’s last day, and YG thought it would be a good idea to pay for drinks for the barely legal intern.

Even though he had to return to work after lunch.

And it was the middle of the day.

YG also taped him acting out on the elevator…saying things to the amount of “F*ck [insert company name here].

While clearly inebriated.

And OF COURSE said intern had to be Black.

Young Grasshopper said he’d never do that again (he had a drink or two too).

Couple of things :

Why did YG encourage that boy to drink that much while on a break at work?
Why did YG encourage that boy to act out on the elevator?
Why did YG think it would be a good idea to tell me about this intern…and his part in his state of inebriation?
Why was YG drinking during lunch himself?

Yeah…it was fun for a while, but…can’t be associated with that kind of recklessness….

Situation #2

Was in the middle of work and saw I had a call coming in.

Call came from an unknown number so I let it go and figured if it was important, they’d leave a voicemail.

Got the voicemail beep and checked it.

Message :

“Hi KaNisa (Teresa maybe?) it’s me. I just wanted you to be the first to know that I’m pregnant. If you could call me back as soon as possible, I’d appreciate it. It’s really important. Thanks bye!”

Couple of things :

I couldn’t tell if they were saying Teresa or KaNisa.
The phone number came up as Unknown, and I couldn’t pull it from the VM.
I didn’t recognize the voice …I mostly only talk to fam on the phone…and other people rarely.

I figured it was either a younger soror or a young cousin. Checked in with my sisters and my line sisters to see if anyone had gotten any alarming calls lately…none had. I’m not entirely familiar with all of the younger sorors, so I sent the message to one of my line sisters as she has been around them more…she didn’t recognize the voice either.

We decided the girl was saying Teresa and chalked it up to being the wrong number.

Word to the wise, when calling someone, don’t assume they know you by your voice. Identify yourself!
