Oh my God!!! That show was definitely the bomb. I like the way that you gave a real life depiction of each scenario. I think that as educated women these scenarios are too real and can become stressful if we allow them. I have often wondered myself where I will end up in the long run. I find now that I am not wanting to be in Scenario #1 anymore (at least not to the full extent). It would be great to be able to have it all or at least a little bit of all (except Scenario #2-let’s constrict the Wild Oats side to the husband :). That was awesome. I think every woman needs to see that.
ReplyThanks for the praises! My sister says some of the scenarios could be combined like #1 and #3. I guess they could be, though I’m sure that would be difficult. It’s strange to think that it has to be one or the other, but for some reason I couldn’t personally see myself combining a scenario like #1 with family life. I feel like the family would suffer because you struggle all day at work and once you get home you want to rest, but instead you have to “work” at home to raise the kids (and husband) as well. I prefer scenario #1 for a couple of years, then scenario #3 and have some kind of work from home job…
ReplyAll for #1!!! #2 has it’s time somewhere in the not so soon future.
