Hail nah!
Clearly I’m going though some kind of transition.
Today, whilst returning some movies to Blockbuster (Lady Sings the Blues, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Set it Off..once again in order of preference) I was trying to figure out what to have for dinner. Since traffic was still a bit out of control, I didn’t want to muscle my way to the grocery store so I cruised around the shopping center to see what kind of places they had.
I considered Indian but then realized I’d probably be hungry later as rice doesn’t tend to stick with you.
I considered Thai, but no one was in the restaurant and the people who worked there were chillin’ like it was their day off.
I considered Burger King, but I just can’t bring myself to eat that kind of fast food anymore…
Then I saw a place that I usually drive 15 minutes to get to…I saw a Popeye’s! I was shocked! I literally drove to another city to get some biscuits one day not knowing I had a Popeye’s right around the corner from me!
And it’s Tuesday too?! That means a 2 piece dinner for 2.99!
Jesus Wept!
So made my order, got me an extra biscuit instead of a side order and made my way home…smelling the goodness of my chicken wafting through the air…
I got home, took one bite of that chicken that had smelled so delicious in the car…
And completely lost my appetite.
This is the second time this has happened! My body, though it thinks the isht smells delicious, no longer accepts fried chicken! I don’t know what happened!
At least I can still eat them biscuits though…
