I had to take a few minutes before my own action packed weekend to plug something…
Pir.ates of the Carri.bean 3: At Wor.ld’s En.d.
Ladies in gentleman, if you have not seen the previous 2 movies, I suggest you do so immediately because the third…one of the most unique and entertaining movies I’ve ever seen in my life!
It was SO. GOOD!
I kept forgetting it was Disney! (Not to say that Disney doesn’t make good movies, but really, when was the last GOOD live action movie)?
I don’t want to spoil too much, but I would say the third installment of the series is VERY dark. I wouldn’t take my kids to see it because it includes violence like people shooting people in the head (the camera doesn’t cut away) and the act of multiple people being hung by the neck…even children. (The movie starts out that way. For a minute, I was like, “am I in the right movie?!”)
Over all though, the movie contains aspects of action and romance of course as well as horror and film noir….there are also some trippy parts that having you going “uhh…what?” (And wondering if there were some shroms in that last meal you ate)..but it all comes together.
168 minutes of the best movie I’ve seen in a long while. It gets KaNisa’s stamp of approval…and you all know precious little gets that.
