Glamour Shots Review
Glamour Shots experience is officially complete.
Overall I’d say it was a fairly positive. I think the way you view it is based on your expectations going in.
Glamour Shots is NOT cheap…and really they shouldn’t be.
I think that’s what gets most people confused…especially if you got the living social or groupon deal (20-30 bucks).
That mostly only gives you a discount on the normal sitting fee of about $40 bucks, and tosses in ONE print of a picture.
Professional photoshoots by photographers who do such things for a living are $500+ bucks a sitting…and I knew that going in so I wasn’t phased.
All that said, I went in with the 20 buck groupon deal for a boudoir shoot and ended up spending $543.87 all together. That included the 6 pics they photoshopped (all but 1 seen below), prints of these shots, and a CD with all the shots on them. They call them “low resolution” but they’re pretty good resolution, just not touched up (2448×3624 size).
Of course because me, I’m modest and don’t have substantial lady parts so my outfits were my Aveline costume and my httpster t-shirt + boyshorts, but you can have up to 4.
Here are the ones they touched up (cropped the immodest bits…)
I kinda love this next one…and it wasn’t even photoshopped that much (besides the obvious)!
Without the photoshop
So yeah. I’d say the only benefit of going with Glamour Shots over a real photographer is that you can walk out without paying anything but the 40 dollar sitting fee. 70 pics would otherwise cost the full price of $500+ for a professional photographer’s time.
And the only bad part of this experience is that it took a month to get my stuff back, but even that isn’t terrible since I wasn’t in a rush anyway.
But yeah! Temper your expectations and check them out!
