You know what’s really sad and embarrassing? When you’re sit watching a show like Price is Right and get into it…
And I mean REALLY get into it
I’m talking clap with the audience, shout the answer to the person on TV, cheer when the person wins the game, get irate and say “I told you to say 5! Nobody ever listens to me” into it.
…
I maintain that it makes the whole game show watching experience much more fun and interactive.
But man, what happened to shows like Supermarket Sweep? That was the best show ever. My favorite part was when they had scrambled letters…
Oh and I saw the new version of $100,000 Pyramid yesterday. The celebrity partners were Smokey Robinson and Brian McKnight and man that game can be hard! Especially the part where you win the round against the other group and you have to go to the big pyramid…
During that part, the partner names things that are in a category. For example, for the category “Things that are on a pizza,” the partner would say “pepperoni, cheese, sausage, crust…”
But man some of those categories were just bad like:
“Things that are still” or “Things that make you say Hallealujah”
You can tell they don’t want people to win too much on that show…
But yeah, I remember all those games, even have the complementary board games from yesteryear like of course $100,000 Pyramid, Finders Keepers (LOL), Double Dare, Jeopardy…all circa 1980…
