ALAS!
I can’t find my Sims 2 DVD!
This is bad because:
1. I added a new hard drive and deleted the partition the old installation was on.
2. I thought the disk was in my room somewhere since I couldn’t find it at home.
3. I can’t find the disk in my room which means it must be at home.
4. I’m was excited that I got the new expansion pack for Christmas but…
5. I CAN’T PLAY IT WHEN IT’S THE MOST CONVINEINT TIME TO PLAY SUCH A TIME CONSUMING GAME!
Of course being the computer nerd I am I looked around for various “downloads” that might “help me out”…I mean, it’s not like I’m stealing it, I have purchased the game…I just can’t find the disk. However, although I spent the last 24 hours downloading it, the installation stops on disk 2, which means that was a total waste of time.
I’ve resorted to asking around for a disk, and I’m also looking into buying one from ebay…
If all goes well, in the next two hours I will have won my prize for the low, LOW price of $5.50.
ALAS nonetheless.
In other news…
I’m really loving this Chronicles of Narnia book. There are a total of seven books in this one 700+ pages book, and I’m on the sixth one. It reads so well…it’s a bit different from Tolkien or J.K Rowling. The narrator’s voice speaks directly to you, and refers to other books. For example:
“Once there were four children whose names were Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy, and it has been told in another book called The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe how they had a remarkable adventure.”
Sometimes the author goes even as far as:
“If you were there, you would have thought…”
…
Okay so it didn’t say that exactly, but it did say something that direct at one point.
Anyway,
The stories are really entertaining! I stayed up until about four this morning to finish one of the books… I can see how they say there are parallels between the Chronicles and biblical stories and how Aslan is supposed to be God…
And then as usual when I sit reading things for a I while, I REALLY get into it. I remember losing all sense of reality and wondering if there really were alternate universes, if the world is really round, what it would be like if animals could talk….

yeah haah…maybe that’s one of those thoughts that should have been kept to myself, lol..
