Noticing something.

I realize I’m pretty young, but for some reason I feel like people make life a lot more complicated than it really is.

And that people enjoy generally making mountains out of molehills to make their lives more interesting.

Or something.

Isn’t life too short to analyze everything?

I really feel like life gets less  complicated when you turn inward and realize that the world isn’t against you. Most people’s issues deal with trying to reconcile who you are, how you perceive yourself, and how others perceive you.

Tricky part is that instead of making that inward turn that can be rather difficult to accept, people would rather attempt to change all these outside factors they have no control over.

Good luck with that.

All the conversations about relationships, he said she said, impossible standards, what’s attractive and what’s not, whatever “Black twitter” is up in arms about, not acting “Black” enough, acting too “Black”, being too gay, being whatever…

Just tiresome noise.

Don’t you guys have something better to do?

Like living life? Working? Having new experiences? Raising children?

Anything?

Let’s do better.

In fact, let’s just do.

I think Nike would agree, even without “it”.

You are right, of course, but it is hard for people to resist their addiction to solipsism, especially when they have the devices and the places to indulge in it with millions of others. It’s like a crack house.

I mean I understand regressing back to childish behavior every once in a while. Definitely spent an hour trolling tumblr to feed my unhealthy fan girl habit…but I also recognize how immature that is. I spend all day being a mature responsible person! Let me have my moment!

      I digress…

To completely live in a world where you feel like everyone should cater to you is a little bit strange after about age 12 or so. Need more adults to learn how to operate in a world that doesn’t revolve around them and their laziness.

Yes, but I think social networking prolongs adolescence and often even lures people back into it. Twenty-five, even 35, is the new 12 . . .
