Let me show you how real it is in the streets of Atlanta…

Ordered from least expensive at 1200 sq ft and $89k to most expensive at 5,271 sq feet and $210k.

…

That LAST HOUSE IS $210K!

Townhomes like the first one are the only ones that are reasonable for me as I don’t have furniture to fill up more than 1200 sq ft, but MAN! I hope Atlanta struggles for a few years more…

Real bargains. Might be worth looking at buying a few as investments. Live in one, rent out one or two more until the market turns. What were the pre-recession prices for 1,200 and 2,400 sq ft homes in that area? What is the property tax rate in Atlanta?

Here, low mortgage rates and multiple bids are driving up property prices. If those houses were in a decent area here, they would go for 500K to 2 million.

  I’m just beginning to poke around real estate here so I don’t know much about tax rates…
  
  The plan I’m formulating is to buy something around the time my lease runs out (November) and if I want to move to a house later, use it as a rental property. 89k could be paid off in 5 or 6 years…and a place like that could be rented for 1200 easy…

Man! I haven’t seen prices that low on houses that big/nice anywhere near the DC area. Anyone who can buy in ATL, should do it!!
