I promise I’m not being an elitist, but why do so many people LIVE for triviality?! Like they think it’s the most wonderful thing!
I took a PTO day yesterday because work got a bit too much to handle, I was really angry/tired/frustrated, got assigned a bunch of new work unrelated to my job, was told I couldn’t hire anyone to help, and kept getting pinged for my insight on the most trivial things. Slept most of Wednesday and came back refreshed and ready to go today…with an inbox full of trivial things.

I do not respond to emotional appeals or manipulation. I am acutely aware of how they work and how to use them because that is my CAREER to implement such things as they relate to technology. It’s like telling a chef that you know how to boil water.
Recommendations by experts do not sway me if I don’t hold the experts in high regard. Even then, their experience is only useful to me as another thing to consider, not a rule to follow. Actually, to make that more broad, opinions do not matter unless I hold the person with the opinion in high regard.
Again, don’t care about your money, status, popularity, access. Unless you’re backing it up with how you got them as a source of information for other people who have similar aspirations, it mostly just comes across as bragging. Like seriously, what other purpose do you have for broadcasting your “blessings”?
Very tightly wound today. I should have gone to that spa thing yesterday instead of napping all day…matter fact, let me get a membership right now!
