Fantasy Life Now on Hiatus
So the past week or two pretty much wrecked my fantasy life.

The thing about the notion of “fantasy” is that it’s something you think about but don’t really wish would happen or else it would ruin the whole concept.

The idea of “you can’t disappoint a picture” if you will.

Well not to say I was disappointed, but my fantasy/reality line got crossed a bit too much and now I’m out of ideas for just out of reach fun things to think about.

In my head, my interaction with a certain person was through giving advice about their web presence just because it bothers me when stuff I support doesn’t do things in the best way…which leads to them not  maximizing their reach. It’s especially bothersome when it’s related to a field I specialize in. The most simple changes would make a HUGE difference, and a more detailed analysis/implementation around their web artifacts would really blow them up… at least in the “web experience” sense.

It grinds my gears because in my head I’m like :

EVERYONE EVER NEEDS TO KNOW HOW AWESOME YOU ARE BECAUSE I THINK YOU’RE AWESOME AND I JUDGE PEOPLE HARD AND ONLY ALIGN MYSELF TO AWESOMENESS…AND I COULD TOTALLY MAKE YOUR AWESOMENESS TRANSLATE BETTER ONLINE BECAUSE I DO THAT PROFESSIONALLY!

I feel like if I could just reach them somehow I’d be okay, lol.

Sooooo a person I know is bff’s with people in said person’s entourage. They were in town for a while on a stopover while they were on tour. Person I know mentioned they were hanging and I made some comments about their web stuff. Person asked for details and I gave said details.

My details (which were more based on web design 101 than anything UX related…holding those cards closer as it takes more explanation than a text) were screenshot to the peeps. Not sure how they took it, but I got screenshot a response back FROM THE FANTASY PERSON acknowledging the problems and a note of appreciation. (Along with a justification of why things weren’t a certain way which wasn’t entirely technically correct, but I left it alone. WordPress has been my road dog for about as long as it’s existed…but I could see why they might think that if they were using the .com version with an alias URL…)

They launched a new UI of a couple of their sites a few days later with most of the same problems I listed out, but some things were accounted for.

I appreciate the connection honestly, but now I’m like dang…that was my only reason for speaking them really…and I probably came off as a super critical b word who pooed all over something they were proud of…

Oh well. Maybe I got points for being honest?

I didn’t even say everything either, lol…just the low hanging fruit.

I would have worded it better if I knew they were being screenshot stuff…oops…

In other news…

Is it fall yet?

I think I’ve mentioned it before, but I continue to think summer is pretty pointless.

Seasons in order of importance :

  1. Fall
  2. Winter
  3. Spring
  4. Summer

That’s right, summer is dead last.

It’s mostly like spring, but hotter…and is listed lower than spring pretty much only because it’s hot.

Spring is also useless.

Fall though?

I CAN’T WAIT!

There’s so much going on! I started making my preliminary calendar.

I have to narrow down though because there’s currently about 50 events I wrote down to check out…and there are only so many weekends.
