Because the Innanet

Gotta love YouTube and nem for giving artists a way to distribute their content.

People have doing it for a while, I even first discovered Mr. G through his crew’s YouTube skits years ago. People have really picked up this model and expanded it, even monitized like BlackAndSexyTV.

This channel started after the creators put out the movie A Good Day to Be Black and Sexy [Netflix Link]. It was a series of vignettes just about Black relationships and things of that sort.

They then came out with a YouTube Channel BlackandSexyTv. Several really well shot series with 5-30 minute episodes in the style of the movie…again about relationships between younger Black people in their 20’s and 30s…and they use original music for their soundtracks too! I also love that all the series live in the same “universe”  so you might see some crossovers or just friendships or situationships between them.

I imagine they couldn’t keep that up though as they had to pay their people…

Monetized it last year over at VHX. I followed them over there and it’s still really great stuff!

Totally worth the $7/month subscription. They finally got a publishing rhythm so they are regularly releasing content.

Here’s their newest show, Chef Julian. (A spin off of their show Sex.less). Premiered today on YouTube!

Check it out!
