Everybody Dance Now
So I may or may not watch Dan.ce Mo.ms on Lifetime.
I generally have dancer envy…cheerleader envy too. I totally admire people who do organized dancing (lol)….especially if they’re good.
Shows centered around such things can keep my attention for the most part.
I saw a promo for this new show Lifetime is pubbing :
And of course I was like :
But I was still curious about it.
Lifetime has an early preview of the show.
I watched it.
It’s about what’s depicted in the promo. I had to mute it for a second because the “turn up” of the moms and their director got grating at times…
But I have a question :
WHY DID I HAVE NO AWARENESS OF THIS SUBCULTURE UNTIL NOW?!?!
I feel really weird that I didn’t know about these kinds of dance teams! #PWIProblems
I mean I knew of HBCU drill teams as I’ve been to more Bayou Classics than I can count (my parents are Jags)…but I didn’t know they have competition circuits and things!
And the dance battles? Also really neat!

I mean it’s a little raw, but really cool!
I hear they do competitions here in Atlanta…I might check them out!
