Could it be?

First I would like to welcome back Radio KaNisa. If you look to your right, you will see a Finetune music player that currently features the story of my life as of late. Don’t worry it’s not too depressing, there’s some good stuff on there. I figured it might be helpful to make some of the songs I talk about available to hear.

In other news…

I’m falling in love with Virginia.

I remember back in the day I wanted a design related job where I’d have to dress up every day and work in a high rise.

I also said I wanted to live in a place where the trees turn colors and it snows…

So far all of that has happened. Honestly, the only childhood wish that hasn’t come true yet is the acquirement of a husband (no life!)

So with that being said, I would like to present to you:

THE OBJECTS OF MY AFFECTION – CELEBRITY EDITION #1 (in no particular order)

MR. JOHN STEPHENS (LEGEND)

THIS guy, even though he seems to not date Black women, has a very nice demeanor. For the longtime readers, you might remember an entry (lmao!) I had about this time last year about the JL concert I went to. Though I had been a rabid fan who would regularly cite that he could “get it” if he only asked, about a month after seeing him at his concert him seemed like a normal person rather than an “idealized version of his image.” He’s just a regular dude who can sing well. His music alone makes me have “emotions” sometimes though.

Actually, my sister dated his first cousin and even spent Easter with the fam…she met Mr. Stephen’s brother. The whole family is vertically challenged, but somewhat smart…even Mr. Legend went to an ivy league UPenn.

Mr. Stephens gets on the list because he reminds me of myself…a nice looking person who would be a nerd if not for our good looks and endearing charm.

. . .

Except I date black dudes.

RANDOM BITS ABOUT MR. STEPHENS

He used to be the music director at his church and continued to be until his schedule got too hectic.

The child prodigy graduated from UPenn at the age of 20 with a degree in English with an emphasis on African American lit.

He used to sing backup for Alicia Keys

He was the pianist on Twista’s “Overnight Celebrity” and Lauryn Hill’s “Everything is Everything”
