I’m not perfect.
I will never be perfect.
I will never will claim to be perfect.
But there are simple things in life. That people, as adults, should be able to do.
Like reason.
Like logic.
The vast majority of us, had toys like this as kids :

I am ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDED by the amount of outright STUPIDITY I have seen today.
Actually, I’m not sure if people are truly this dumb, or if there’s some other thing I’m missing.
I’m not a genius! I promise I don’t think I am at all!
But why don’t people know how to think?!
Like for real, I stand by my INSISTENCE that my kids will grow up playing video/computer games just for the amazing cognitive development that comes with being able to solve puzzles. Video games are SO MUCH MORE than entertainment.
It’s looking for patterns.
It’s creative thinking.
It’s investigating, attention to detail, efficiency.
In fact, the most harmful part of your brain being trained to be work in logic so much…
IS THE ABSOLUTE DISDAIN AND FRUSTRATION WITH PEOPLE WHO DON’T KNOW HOW TO THINK!!!
I don’t know if it’s because I’m more sensitive to it right now or what, but this morning has been RIDICULOUS between micromanaging, breakdowns in communication, bikeshedding up the…..Bikeshedding, BIKESHEDDING!
I had to calm down because I literally had the thought “if an email like this gets to my inbox again then people are fired because this is FUC.KING ridiculous.”
I mean really?!
Yeah I’m a U.X professional (which probably compounds why I find all this so frustrating) but I’m going to start advocating for taking the users out of stuff.
Not so much the taking their input out, oh no, that is SUPER important.
Because the plan now is to know them INTIMATELY so we can build algorithms around their behavior and replace them with TECH.
I swear.
This is my new life mission.
If you don’t know how to use your brain and solve real actual problems, you don’t deserve to have a job.
Period.
I DON’T CARE ANYMORE!
