The Moon that Embraces the Sun
The story of the secret love between Lee Hwon, a fictional king of Joseon, and Wol, a female shaman. Wol was born as Heo Yeon Woo, the daughter of a noble family who won the love of the crown prince, Hwon. Her enemies, jealous of her family’s position in court, schemed against her and wrestled away her rightful place as crown princess and nearly takes her life. Years later, an embittered Hwon meets Wol, now a female shaman who has no recollection of her past.
Add “Korean Dramas” to the list of shows that ruin romance for young girls. (ABC Family is also a huge culprit).
Where are these emotional, protective, handsome, not afraid to love, lay down my life for you at age 16 dudes at?
I feel like in American real life, dudes are not this way because the “popular 1% hot” girls who have messed up priorities they imagine themselves with don’t like such things.
Meanwhile the 99% of the regular girls would LOVE and appreciate that kind of treatment.
Hmph
Anyway…
I really enjoy these shows! I like how there’s 1 season with 20-22 just over an hour episodes that really explore the story quite well. When it’s over, it’s over, things aren’t drawn out across years and years. Depending on the show, it may take a while to catch a pace (it took a few episodes with this moon show) but they sure do keep you interested!
I swear the formula is [short intro/recap] + [plot] + [last 2 minutes that are like whaaaa I have to stay up and watch one more!]
I was a prisoner of the Moon show from 7PM yesterday to 4AM this morning…
But yeah.
These past few days have been completely unproductive as subtitled stuff requires your full attention. 10 more episodes left of this show and I will take a break to have a life.
Consulting on some freelance websites and revamping others.
Maybe one day I’ll even do some tutorials from this $100/year magazine I get…
