What a day!
We were warned that snow would be on the way.
After this debacle a few years ago, I was like eff no I’m not going to work, and advised my team to telework.
(A few went in anyway and had 5-7 hour commutes home, but I’m glad they made it home.)

Yeah…worse.
Most of the people I know made it home in the last hour, but I have one friend who is stranded and nowhere near home. Staying up until she finds shelter.
It’s not just the snow that did this. Like that one time in DC, it was MAYBE 3 inches, but they released everyone at the same time. Hundreds of accidents, snarled highways.
The places where you see the red circles with the lines through them are where all lanes are closed.
Kids are still at schools, hundreds. They’re spending the night as their parents can’t get to them. They were sending buses out, but many had to come back due to the roads.
It’s insanity!
Atlanta hesitated with closing because of the backlash a few weeks ago when they closed down because it was cold…
…that hesitation is why thousands of people are out there still….
Just crazy…
